deleting advert

I am being driven mad by an advert for 'adobe flash player' asking me do I want to install it. I press 'NO' I click on the cross on top r.h.corner of the box but it continues to appear every time I want to move on to something else. If anyone can help me to get rid of this wretched thing permanently I will forever be indebted to you

I think Rollo forgot to mention that to find computers look on the left hand side of this page and click Technology then wait a moment and underneath technology Computers appears
