Thanks mamyalynne and Judge Nutmeg. I had just got the length of the channel Tunnel but I would never have got the Harry Potter one despite having seen the films and read the books
I cheated with the fractions!. I typed it in microsoft word by using the symbol menu to insert the fraction. I then cut and pasted it into the question on answerbank.
I know how to do them on a laptop using the alt key and the little numbers over some of the letters. I think wih a computer you hold down the alt key and use the number pad at the side. e.g 0189 is and 0188 is . I'll ask hubby to check on his computer
Yes, that does work. If you hold down the alt key and use the numbers on the number pad. Of course you need to know the numbers for different fractions and this site gives a whole load of numbers/symbols.
1. Press Alt key (don't let go)
2. Enter 0190 on your Number Pad (not the row above qwerty as this won't work)
3. Now release Alt key
4. et voila . . . .
My husband showed me another way which to me is much more complicated.
click on Start, then all programs, then accessories, then system tools which gives a character map. Then you would have to paste the fraction or symbol you wanted.
