It is Results Time once again and I can reveal that our misterEguest chose the following links for his last challenge.

NURSE SHARK
SPIN DOCTOR
BACK WARD
TROLLEY JACK

Mr E only partially heeded my instructions and with Great White, Basking, Poor (Por)beagle & Hammerhead all getting a mention, you just had to choose Nurse Shark to accompany them.
Less obvious were Jack Russell and the tools needed to change a wheel
'Back' was only vaguely hinted at (rear tyre) and there were no hints at all for any link to go with 'Doctor'

Some players were even imagining clues in almost every sentence and leading themselves astray.

But let us get to the point. The scores are what you want to know and who will be crowned?

The very first player beejay1124 found BACKWARD for 2 points but there were no more matches for that within two minutes though 4 players picked up a single for it later.

Player #4, the temporarily suspended Aquagility entering under his lucky alter-ego matched both NURSE SHARK and SPIN DOCTOR for a total of 4 points.
This being the highest score of the weekend, I have great pleasure in declaring our early riser Aquagility as
*** HOTSHOT OF THE WEEK ***

Christiana, miss meg & ulysses100 all came within the required interval for 2 points each on Nurse Shark. Fordward managed a bonus on Spin Doctor.

The last link of TROLLEY JACK lasted only until Dustybun came along at 9:06 fr her 2 points.

I will also give a mention to Strix, Jools & Elspeth who were double-hitters but too late for bonus points.

Here is how table finishes up for March:-
Question Author
Slaney added 1 to her score to end on 12 points and champion for March.
*** LET TRUMPETS SOUND ***
**** AND BUGLES BLAST ****
*** CONGRATULATIONS Slaney ***

10 points: beejay1124
9 points: Dustybun
8 points: Aquagility
7 points: Jools
6 points: Dinkypuzzled, fordward, Grenmus, miss meg, Strix, wickedtongue

Now for the coronation and setter for April.
Slaney was setter only a few months back (December) but our runner-up, beejay, has never had a chance yet and therefore I propose offering the crown to beejay
*** LET MORE TRUMPETS SOUND ***
**** AND MORE BUGLES BLAST ****
**** FOR KING/QUEEN beejay ****
*** CONGRATULATIONS ***

Don't worry beejay, short introductions and no hidden clues will be perfectly fine and will probably be welcomed by many players who couldn't quite fathom our misterEguest.

Would beejay1124 PLEASEget in touch by email
grytvikengen2 (at) googlemail.com
and I will put him in touch with crofter who is back from his break, but away from the croft this evening.

(or can anyone help to put me in touch?)

Mr E has returned to his planet and I am passing the abacus back to crofter who will resume control for April so this is 'Bye for now' from gen2.

Oh dear ... just remembered I forgot to enter this week, but it wouldn't have made any difference to the outcome!! :O)

Nice one slaney and well done Aqua.

Don't worry, you'll have no trouble setting the links beejay, as crofter will take you by the hand and guide you through! (S)
Many thanks, Gen2 and Mister E Guest and welcome to beejay and after such a sparkling performance we look forward to your offerings next weekend!

Hi beejay, when you email, don't forget to replace the (at) with a @ symbol (and no spaces).

Nothing received as yet.

Nothing to be afraid of.
Well done slaney and Beejay and thanks to Gen2 and MrE, will his identity be revealed? Don't worry Beejay, I was horrified when I read that I was nominated as the next MM links setter. Crofter will give you all the help you need. Good luck! I enjoyed it.
gen--says message was sent
Looking forward to your links in April beejay - lots of opportunity for fooling!

Many thanks to gen2, and to the man of Mr E for a very entertaining month.
Thanks gen2 for the results, and thanks for standing in this month for crofter - also Mr E Guest - all good fun.
Congratulations to aqua-gility (I like the hyphen) Hotshot of the week.
Well done slaney - you've done this before, haven't you - great score.
Finally - well done beejay, look forward to your link words in April, hope I have more luck with you.
Have a good week everybody, see you all next weekend, best of luck with the Dragonfly quiz
Wow! Megga proud to be in pole position this week.
And hearty congratulations to Slaney and to beejay.

I am tempted to exclaim Beejaybers!

A big thank you to Gen2 and his amusing (and baffling) friend.

haha aqua---i will remember you
:0)
I am eternally grateful to gen2 for stepping in and taking over the reins for a full month.

This allowed me time for a break to Tenerife, launching Dragonfly Quiz IV ~ and starting to get to know my gradson Harry!

The only "problem" is that he's so good at creating the right atmosphere ~ so good that I'll need to "try harder"!

:o)
