no 19 I think I saw a clue for this that said try Cockney Rhyming slang for the first part of the clue. If this is right it certainly hasn't helped me as I can't the answer either!
If I said 'compass' for 94 would that help at all. Has anyone got 44.....grand parrot has a cavity for keeping odds and ends? I have an answer but can't see where it fits! Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks
Unless I am missing the point completely (quite possible) the hints seem to be pointing to "souwesters" but south and west are not extremes, a connection with a house is tenuous and what has it got to do with "shakespearean"? Is this slang for something?

I guess I am missing the point.
Wymondham - find another word for a parrot and remember that in crosswords grand is often "g".

oh dear - I'm not having much success with the clues everyone is giving! Still stuck on this and 94!
I would appreciate a clue (not the answer) for 42 or 52 if you have done either. Many thanks.
Badger 4
No.42 - first word, concentrate on the 'fail to pay', a debt for example. The maids, more likely found in the theatre, helping the female star.
52
try to find what a stalk goes into (as in plants)
Thank you to FoxLee2 and smouse - you've given me some things to work on.

still need 19 and 94. willinging to give swaps to others.
'Shakespearean items of headgear' could refer to hats worn in a "Tempest", i.e. sou'westers, but I agree with everyone else that the reference to 'two extremes' in this context is not very satisfactory as south & west aren't really extremes
