omega
Question Author
thank you pinktwink, i thought it was but still would like to know why, do you know?
greek letter omega is like the shape of an oyster
Omega = a Greek letter
O (first letter of Oyster's Mouth) + a gem (pearl) ???
a = an
o = oyster's mouth
about = o a
pearl within = o MEG a
(MEG = Margaret, meaning Pearl)

Omega = letter Ω
Nothing to do with the girl's name Meg. The explanation is:

A = An
O = oysters mouth (opening of word)
gem (pearl) = within it
All about (reversed) as it says in the second word of the clue. Altogether OMEGA meaning a greek letter.
