I can only find 'gale 'as the Beaufort scale 8 classification; and 'fierce gale' won't fit so please could someone help? Many thanks

i've googled on this one and nowhere can i find "fresh gale.
the met office doesn't use the term

collins english dictionary gives fresh gale as 8 on the beaufort scale
Prudentia- Know it is Fresh Gale too. When they click on the links have provided they will see for themselves that it is Fresh Gale, too ;-)
Wikipedia also mentions Fresh Gale, although my husband who is a sailor has never heard of it.
