Peas Wisp

Peas wisp (think spelling is correct)
Has anyone heard of the saying "peas wisp" meaning something is wrinkled or a mess? If so, I am just wondering what the origin of the saying is. Thank you.

I never heard of it but it seems it is just a literal description of a bundle of pea straw which if you ever grew garden peas you will know is a very untidy affair at the end of the season. It can then be applied to anything looking very untidy. It's mentioned in this Scottish dictionary spelled Pease.
