Has anyone a hint as to what might be a North Yorkshire village occasioned by the clue Tied in knots from the Big Apple (4,7) ?

smouse, Didn't really have the GHat on. I didn't recall the clue but I'm ever suspicious and DO NOT give out my answers!! I have sore eyes from completing Dragonfly4 staring at various maps and indeces which have even smaller print. All of the answers are 'up north' and very hard to make a guess list iwhen you live within touching distance of the sea on the South Coast, which is where I'm off to now, in the rain. Love it!
Isn't Chesterfield near?
Minoru, Although by now I'm familiar with 'up north' villages I haven't a clue about this one. There are hundreds of them

I hate geography so with this and dragonfly have done the solve the clue then see if they are places which is easier than reading small print
