Three people have been kind enough to provide the answers to three clues I couldn't do, but that still leaves me with two and a half others. Help, please, though now I do have a letter or two to help. Question 18: A complete round, of course (8,5) The first word begins with E and the second is ?O??S. I think it might be an anagram of round of course, but can't make it work. Question 11: A suffragette was, if lucky (9,5) The first word starts with L and the second word I think is WOMAN . Question 10: Where waves may be heard through the air (2,3,8) The first word starts with L I really would be grateful for any help.
Thank you, Annie49, you're right so the question mark wasn't necessary! The letters from the first questions fit into a grid to make the words of a quotation, and I'm now lots more letters nearer the end.
Thank you SpodoComodo and Magyr and I owe you an apology: the first word does start with O not L (I must have keyboard dyslexia) Sorry. But I quite agree, on the wireless is pretty feeble! But I think that must be it, particularly if you both corroborate it! Thanks everyone.
