I'm going to appear as a contestant on Countdown.

Does anyone have any obscure/useful tips?

(I have posted this in the Media & TV section but I figured that someone here might have some pearls of wisdom to offer).

cannot give you any tips,but well done,can you let us know when you will be on,countdown is one of my favourite programmes,i have applied 4 times,no luck.hope you win.

No tips. I'd be in a panic BUT I would meet Jeff Stelling, my favourite sports presenter despite him supporting Hartlepool!

May be obvious but spend a second looking for groups of letters like "ings" "tion" "pre" etc. Also 75 times table. EG 75 x 13 off the top of your head.
