i want to buy a jigsaw puzzle but can't find a shop that isn't online! Does anyone know of a shop in lancashire with a reasonable choice? I want to buy one the good old fashioned way by actually looking at and touching it! thanks x
A little tip for jigsaw fans, charity shops are a great place to source these and most (don`t hold me to this bit ) do check that all pieces are present , best of all they are cheap too.
There's also a great jigsaw shop in Hawkshead, in the Lake District. Not sure about the shop in Grasmere as a lot of the shops in the town have closed.
Was in Roberts Stationers and Printers, Poulton Street, Kirkham (Just a few miles from Blackpool), and noticed they had a good selection of jigsaws.
Good luck!
i shall check it out, thank you. i went 'round a few charity shops and picked up a few. One of them was top quality and still sealed - for 1.99.
They are all 1000 pieces though, and I don't know if I'm up to it yet!
Roberts Stationers is a couple of hundred yards from my home :)
They stock some really good puzzles and craft supplies.
There is also a shop called Raymond K Boyes at the other end of the street (same side) that used to have a good selection too.I haven't been in there for a while so i've no idea if they still do.
thursdays were always the best days to go to kirkham, years ago. You could buy WI produce in the church hall (i think) and then over to the brilliant book shop where they sold ice cream and back home via the prison, to buy their veggies!
It is still the same crisgal.Thursday is market day here. The W.I. still do their sale and the ice cream shop (Silverdell) is thriving. We even get celebs there doing book signings :) http://silverdellbooks.com/
