Thank you so much mamyalynne,jambuck & spitza for your help, I do not think your clues are an insult mamyalynne but haven't yet worked out Sport 2b, this is a local church quiz with very little time to do it,so have appreciated also the answers given me ,there were 48 questions & only a few days to complete it . I also had a little difficulty in finding the site this morning !!! Thanks to all.

Thanks again mamyalynne,its taking me an age to find this thread again,after a visit to the dentist !!!.
I know that Burnley play at Turf Moor & the plant connection is there, but the penny still hasn't dropped will continue my research after that helpful clue, best wishes---birdie.
