MM Links September 2009 [Week 1]
48 Answers
Good Morning everyone, and Welcome to the first week of my reign in which I attempt to bamboozle you all! To begin the process, I have clearly bamboozled Crofter in finding me a suitable royal title. The best he appears to come up with is “Lady Jill”. So be it, for the next four weeks I am Lady Jill aka tearinghair.
As for my pedigree, I've been KM linking since just before last Christmas and MM linking even more recently (Thanks to Dustybun for encouraging me to join in), so I DO feel very much a newcomer. On the other hand, I am living proof that you don't have to score well all the time; there were two weeks in August when I had no points at all and yet I still managed to win the title.

I love word puzzles (particularly crosswords) and quizzes; however I must confess that numerical puzzles defeat me. Friends tell me that Sudoku grids require logic (not mathematical skills) but I still can't get beyond those graded as “Gentle”. (A gentle Sudoku? Ha! No such thing!). It's the same with card games. I used to enjoy a hand of Whist, but when I tried to take up Bridge I quickly realized that I was out of my depth; too many things to remember.
Nevertheless, I attempt to keep the brain cells working by taking part in a quiz team with a group of friends, so surfing the Internet in the search for answers has become a favourite hobby. However did we manage without the WWW?
That’s enough chat. I don’t want to tempt the gremlins - so down to business ...

Of course, I shall follow the rules relating the word length as introduced by crofter. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one or more of your attempts! Each of my selected words may go in front of or after my challenge word. The competition will officially close at 7.00pm on Sunday evening when my selected words will be declared, and points awarded in the usual manner. My first set of words to be linked should appear below at 9.00am.
