I am compiling a car based treasure hunt for our classic car club.
I have done the route and clues but would like to add a few scavenger items as additional points.
I thought of a warm pair of knickers (2 pound coins) for instance. Are there any other items you folk can think might add a bit of fun to it?
The route goes through mixed countryside should there be any natural items to find.
Put out a pack of drinking straws and give extra points depending on what colour is bought back. Hope it goes well, i used to do these with my parents when i was a child and absolutely loved them! I wish there were more done now but dont hear much about them anymore.
We did a trreasure hunt once and one of the items was 'a cow pat'! At one of the points where a clue could be found, were some paper plates painted dark brown with the words 'artificial cow pat' written on them. Some people missed these and actually brought back part of the 'real thing'....don't even ask how they managed to do this!
A few years ago we did a Christmas scavanger hunt and for extra points you had to bring back:- gift 5, out of one dozen, but not precious metal. It was from the twelve days of Christmas which was five gold rings. So we took back 5 ring pulls from cans and got the points.Another one was bring back two items from a Carol 'that are in the wood'. Which was from the Carol, The Holly and the Ivy.
we once did one and had to bring a photo of the crew, rusty nail, bus ticket, sheeps wool,an egg andcuckoo pint,we won as no one knew what cuckoo pint was ,it does depend on the time of the year but theyre such fun.good luck
