Jumbuck Do you understand the question because I dont.Roman numerals rarely go beyond dates of four figures and therefore M.I know by placing a line over the letter it increases its value by tenfold but this number in the millions seems strange...Im thinging a typo???
Roman numerals go up to however high you're counting - it's just that most people only associate them with dates, so they appear strange when large numbers are used.

I think Jumbuck is correct, check it out:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_numerals
The wikipedia entry, section symbols (I can't copy it to here because the symbols don't copy correctly) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_numerals includes:

"For large numbers (4000 and above), a bar can be placed above a base numeral, or parentheses placed around it, to indicate multiplication by 1000, although the Romans themselves often just wrote out the M's"
