I thought the answer to 1 down might be emanant (Following as a result) but that leaves me short of a viable answer to 10 across (An upward slide in singing, --o-p). Can anyone help on either please?
Many thanks

swoop?

I've checked Collins & Chambers but neither seem to have that meaning for swoop, but thanks anyway roslyn
The answer to 1D is ENSUANT which gives support to SWOOP

Thanks for "ensuant" Cincinnatus, and having done a trawl through Google, "swoop" looks most likely, so thanks too for that and apologies roslyn for my earlier doubts!
I BELIEVE THE ANSWER TO BE 'SCOOP' AS THIS IS LISTED IN THE DICTIONARY OF BARBERSHOP SINGING TERMS
I put 'Scoop' also -

..."scooping effect due to the gliding up to the note
from a semitone or even two tones below pitch"... - from

OED (Online) has it synonymous with 'portamento'
