I hope you all took advantage of your week’s break, so that we kick in tomorrow as our first round of MM Links of “The Regal Roslyn”. Personally, I started 2010 in fine form by being selected as the winning entry of Enigmatic Variations! I made a pledge over 30 months’ ago that I would continue to submit entries until I won. It has taken me over £70 in stamps alone to win a plastic pen! Mrs Crofter was lukewarm over my success ~ which quickly became decidedly icy when she heard what I had won!
Be alert to the fact that “The Regal Roslyn” should be making her launch tomorrow morning! You may be pleased to hear that she is another mathematician ~ maybe not! Her posting should open at 8.45am and her four words to be linked should be posted at 9.00am tomorrow, when MM Links kicks off in earnest. Remember ~ early hits gain bonus points!
Of course, you should also look out for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (which is difficult to predict precisely). Consequently, the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register. The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from Oz and goes by the name of “seekeerz”. As I always say ~ “Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?” They remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards.
Hi crofter, hope you took advantage of your week off to have a lie-in on Saturday morning. Congratulations on your enigmatic success (in more ways than one); may it be the first of many this year.
Good evening crofter and tearinghair. A Happy New Year to you both and all the other MM Linkers.
I wonder what Roslyn has got in store for us tomorrow.
Good evening crofter, and tearinghair - and x-ray! And happy New Year to all. If Roslyn is a mathematician she is probably going to go for ligical links rather than poetic....? Ok ~ I'll go to bed now! :0)
Happy New Year to one and all, let's hope that the cold doesn't freeze up the brain cells as well as the rest of our bodies. The odd glass of wine should act as an antifreeze!
See you all tomorrow.
well done Crofter on your win, enjoy the pen
as someone who does loads of competitions I know the feeling of winning a dvd or cd when loads of effort has been put in
hope to here bright and early tomorrow
Evening all...and a Happy New Year to everyone.
Well done Crofter.... it's the winning that matters!
I am just popping in briefly, as many of you know I have been in hospital and recovering from an op. I have to go back in for a few days on Sunday...so hopefully over the next few weeks I will be able to join in with you all again, and maybe there could be mention of a quiz??
Good evening Pauline - so nice to have you back - even briefly. Hope you are making good progress with your recovery and that you will be back in the swing of things soon.
Thanks x-ray...am getting stronger each week. Been glad to stay in these last few weeks....and have Reg waiting on me hand and foot! Far too cold for my liking. I can't remember snow so deep in Stockport before.
Turn my back for five minutes and I miss Pauline! Great to see you back Pauline. Hope all is going well and you'll soon be back full time to keep us in order! :0)
