Hi everyone could you please help me with my final question i am stuck on,the answer must include a town or city not in the uk,---optimistic duo (5,6)--- this is a question i have been stuck on for some time and it's driving me round the twist please can anybody help

I've been trying to help a friend of mine with this particular quiz. Likewise she is stuck on that question. I've seen Kuala Lumpur suggested on another site but as that means "muddy confluence" I can't see it being the answer. She is also struggling with 58 & 88. I don't want answers but a ( very ) heavy hint for each would be appreciated. Washington Square has been suggested for 58 and Chennai curry for 88 but I'm not happy with either. Should I come up with anything for 100 I'll reciproacte.

for 58 think you need to look at a certain poets works(first name john)
for 88 think about mozzarella

I dropped a clanger though, it should have been 55 ( the one about Wayne and Bruce ) not 58.

As far as 100 is concerned Tameside Reference Library is often asked for help with this particular quiz. I intend popping down on Tuesday. If they've come up with an answer I'll let you know through this thread.

A little thought re 100 - I'm assuming the town/city is the first word but could it be the second??

Earlier I tried putting the names of various five letter towns/cities followed by 6 ?s into Universal Crossword solver but that gave nothing of note for 100. Will keep trying because I would like to reciprocate your kindness.
