17A Arrive (4,2,4) _O_E_O_A_D Is it 'Come to land' which doesn't sound quite right ? But another thought, the phrase 'come to hand' surely doesn't mean 'arrive'? Help appreciated.

I'd go with come to land
I wouldn't - sorry.
Come to hand. Just looked it up in Chambers - it's defined as 'to arrive'
Thats the second question you have remarked on kakuro. If you don't know the answer why bother.
Why bother polly? Ok I'll leave people with the wrong answer next time!

Thanks for contributions. Think I'll go with 'come to hand' if Chambers gives one definition of it as 'arrive' but it's interesting that others eg my concise Oxford don't!
