tallith is also a variant form (given by Chambers). The final s/t/th is an ambiguous consonant that varies from place to place in the Jewish community. (cf 'Shabbas', 'Shabbat', 'Shobbas' for Sabbath - yes, vowels can vary too: it's what happens when a 2,000-year-old + language is scattered around the world and the vowels aren't written anyway).
