I used to love doing the Skeleton but I have terrible trouble with it these days (I kid myself it must be a different compiler!). You're welcome to the only 3 that I've done - 3d. THETA,
15d. INANE and I think 11a. is ELEGANT.

I totally agree with you - even when I have answers I can't see how the clues relate.

I'm so glad to see that you agree with me, roslyn. It makes me feel a proper dunce every Sunday. I try to ignore it but I'm still drawn towards it in case they've changed it to yet another compiler so I still sit and waste at least 10 minutes having a go at it!

I think you will find that the answer to 1 down is DRONE - the film being Dr No the E being the last letter of the word 'the' and drone being the sound.

Was beginning to think it was just me, I've been really struggling with the skeleton last couple of months. Didn't help today that I had delta for 3d (Del (man) + Ta) and not theta (my mistake). Still can't do bottom left corner apart from Thyme 22a, Punjabi 20a and Inane 15d (thanks eric), still don't understand 24across answer. I used to love doing this crossword over breakfast but lately it seems I've been doing it over breakfast, lunch and supper!
