quinie, I went to bed last night still pondering. Then I kind of worked out it was going to be area in square kilometers, so I got up, switched on computer, done a bit of googling and bingo! The Sahara Desert is huge. Flying back from Zambia last year I was looking at it. Fell asleep. Woke up and two hours later we were stilll flying over it!!!
