Good morning everyone from a very wet and windblown Monday afternoon here in downtown downunder !!! Would you believe today is a public holiday for the Adelaide Cup race meeting and also, having had to cancel once last year, due to downpours, our side saddle show was held today - what does it do - buckets it, or as eccles and beejay taught me - tissing it !!!!

Luckily this time we had a contingency plan which is what I think we needed for this little competition, though I'm not sure quite what, with matches like these -

Scroll Bar
Army Ant
Wafer Chip
Burnt Umber

As you can imagine, Burnt Umber was a runaway winner, but as for the rest - well Scroll Bar had 8 fans,
one clever soul, right towards the end of play, came along with Army Ant, and Wafer Chip was left sitting on the shelf.

So at the end of play on the first weekend - ROSE MAYBUD is atop the LEADER BOARD with 6 points.

Tearinghair, jan1956 & x-ray all collected 3 points for 2 correct matches and a further 44 entrants each scored a point, mostly for burning our umber !!!! so if nothing else quite a lot have opened their account for the month and we can only hope to build on that.

Congratulations to all points scorers, and I hope to see you all back again next Saturday, same time, same place to have another crack at it - till then, have a good week and I'll see you then, Cheers, Steff

Not sure, rockfordill - sorry I did the answers in a hurry, but 30a is something about hitting a golf ball above it's centre - could this be 'thin' ???

and to MalcolmY - good morning and thank you, but the whole thing's too long to explain.
Hi Seekerz
I agree with Rockfordill (and that's not because I want the extra points! I googled 'thin golf shot' and it looks OK to me.
Question Author
