Does anyone know the name of the designer of the 'TIGER' and the 'CAMEL' aeroplanes please?

My first thought was Tommy Sopwith, but although I can find all kinds of info. about his Camel design, there is no mention of the Tiger.

Any help appreciated.

Sopwith certainly designed the Camel, but the only "Tiger" I know of is the de Havilland Tiger Moth which was the basic pilot training aircraft in WW2.  Some are still around.

Thanks Ewood. You have obviously discovered the same info as I have.  I'll keep googling and searching my books, but I am not very hopeful.

Happy New Year :-)

I would agree with Ewood, the Tiger Moth, or Tiger as it was known was designed by Geoffrey De Havilland.

He was also a keen entomologist, hence the name.
