Well, personally I like to thank people who have taken the trouble to give me an answer, but I don't take it personally if I don't get one from others. It's like teaching: you have to hope you've done some good even if you never get to see the result!
I am fed up with the lack of response from people when I answer questions. I dont necessarily even want thanks, just some word to say they have seen the answer would do. Some questions take a lot of thought or research and then to have no word from the asker makes you wonder why you bother. To those who do say thanks please ignore my moan!
Thank you Mamya from me too but as an example it looks like only 5 posters out of the 19 on the first page have bothered to come back and say something.
Before the revolution there was a way on here to give stars to answers, and I think that was good because you at least getting a star made you feel good about things. Thanks to you too Sara. Dxhound, the question you highlighted was one of the really annoying ones. Abbreviated clues, no number of letters, got the answers anyway, and no response. Wonderful!
I agree, and as grasscarp pointed out the * star
was good at least it let you know the person did
get our answers.
I say bring back the stars ***
Good luck everyone with all the comps and
crosswords.
I know I have given correct answers on Q & P and when you don't get an acknowledgement it makes me wonder why I bothered. so Question people say thanks for that.
