Avatar puzzle - Why so few?

70% of Chatterbank users have ditched their 'jellybaby' image and set themselves up with a brand new avatar.

Only 5% of Q&P posters have changed theirs.

Come on folks - show we are not a bunch of no-brainers in here and get yourselves a new image.

This may be a stupid question but i will ask it anyway, I just signed on to gravatar and found that my user name has already been taken does that mean i will have to change my user name on AB?.

Yes centrino. It's a totally different site. I had the same problem and it took ages to get a name that wasn't in use. I eventually picked one that was unique and it all went well from there. Good luck

centrino - it's only the email address that needs to be the same between the 2 sites.

I've given up!!! Put in numerous sites and it rejects all. Cannot be bothered!!

centrino. Your user name here stays the same. the other site is only like a holding site for avatars, that's all you will use it for so the name you pick there doesn't matter

Finally done it, but don't know where the black stripe came from.

I 'm not sure about mine, poor old dear, looks like me on Sunday morning after a heavy night out. It took me ages to change to this one, and I don't think I will be able to remember how I did it.

There is only two site you need to worry about, and one email address:

Visit Gravatar.com and click "sign up"
Sign up with your email address
Choose your avatar
Visit AB
Vist your profile and click through to "edit user details"
Click the tick box to enable your avatar
Check your email address on AB matches the one you entered into Gravatar.com
If not, change it so it DOES match
Click Submit.

press ctrl+f5
