MM Links April 2010 [Week 4]

This is “Lady Jan” once again bidding you “Welcome” to my fourth week as setter of the MM links game. Sadly, I must also bid you “Farewell”, as this is my final round.
As usual, it has been a busy week in our household and, as I only had Sunday as a “free” day, I felt that I had to use it constructively and respond to Mother Nature’s call to “Spring” into action.
So, I was up with the larks and ventured out into the garden. By the end of the day, I had managed to plant five hanging baskets, two hanging bags and two pots. I know that it’s a little early and overnight ground frosts are still a possibility, but the plants are “hardening off” under the car port to protect them from any sudden cold snaps which we may have.

Monday was my granddaughter’s seventh birthday, so there was great excitement in her house. She is at a nice age when she can hold an intelligent conversation and Life still presents many surprises. On her birthday morning, she was awakened by a strange whirring noise. Her parents had placed a hamster in a cage in her bedroom as a surprise gift and it was exercising on its treadmill. She was ecstatic. Her newly arrived friend had come complete with an introduction letter and a birth certificate! Isn’t it wonderful what you can find on the internet?
As always, for the every day running of MM, I will follow the same rule as introduced by crofter on word length. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts! Each of my selected words may go in front of or after my challenge word. The competition will officially close at 7.00pm on Sunday evening when crofter will declare my selected words, then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past.
My final set of four words to have their links predicted will appear below at 9.00am.
