I shall resist but that first sentence is so tempting lol
Question Author
why , you dont normally resist with your comments
Smouse changed a while back from a helpful member of the site to one who just posts sarcastic comments. Please ignore her and good luck with the quiz.
I would still be helpful if people didnt ask so many and so soon there should be no race to finish a quiz and yet there seems to be these days

Surely if you need to ask well over half how can you possibly feel its your own work. My quiz satisfaction is putting them down and going back to them in the hopes of doing them all on my own or with less that 10% help whereas these days on here it seems to be look for 2 mins then ask even when there are 4 months to go

We are going to lose all quizzes if this carries on why should anyone spend hours setting one for it to be asked immediately which then stops some people buying it
Hi smurf

118) 1963 William Hartnell was the first Doctor Who
Question Author
thanks owllady smouse is obviously not doing this quiz otherwise she would be asking as well
lol
Come on you lot, assuming you are over 18, act your age, not your shoe sizes.

A great majority need help with this quiz, so keep those answers and suggestions coming, however daft they might seem. For no, 81, FDAVWSR in an O, all I can come up with is Faye Dunnaway and Vivienne Westwood seen riding in an omnibus. Stupid I know, but it will do until something sensible is found lol
at the end of the day its only done for charity and fun
Question Author
i agree fredblogs anything will do till something sensibly is found have got 55 only another 70 to go. and yes it is for charity after all , a very good one , you never know when we may need them.it is local for me.
Its my local quiz too. Mr Lyall has certainly "excelled" himself this time lol.

98) 1477 Edward the Fourth outlaws cricket (it seems it interfered with archery practice)

Googled that, and it looks like it could be the right answer, thanks.
As it came from a pub quiz book perhaps that should be my reference point for some of the others.
