MM and KM Links June 2010 [Week 4]
7 Answers
We begin Week 4 with the mystery of the missing caslass fully explained. Tomorrow, I shall bring MM Links to a conclusion for the month of June. As usual, the initial launch will appear at 08.45am with the posting of the four words to be linked at 9.00am, when MM Links kicks off in earnest. Each week, I repeat “Remember ~ early MM hits gain bonus points”!
In view of the several new-comers, perhaps I should explain further. In the opening flurry of postings, it seemed unfair to award bonus points ONLY to the first person to introduce a new link word correctly. Hence the 2-minute rule was established to award bonus points to anyone else who predicts the same link word within the next 2-minutes of the first!

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.This same rule does NOT apply to the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (which is difficult to predict precisely). Consequently, the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register. The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from Oz and goes by the name of “seekeerz”. As I always say ~ “Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?” They remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards.
Yet another important difference between these link games is that a high-scorer in the MM Links Game over the month of June becomes the Royal Link Setter for July! So the stakes are high and well over 20 different champions have stepped up to accept the Links Challenge over the last three years.
Until I see you tomorrow, may I wish you ~ “Happy Linking”!

Hi Crofter, Which plan will you be using tomorrow, that I may adjust my responses accordingly?
Pauline is unwell and unlikely to put in an appearance tonight unless she has been supping from The Loch of the Lowes. The miraculous healing powers of those waters was demonstrated last Monday when the 'Lady' of the loch, at death's door and who featured in many national newpapers (+ STV & BBC), glided down to the lochside on Monday evening, live on BBC Scotland, took three drinks and was cured.
I have just returned from the Loch of the Lowes and can report that she is in fine health and acting as if nothing had happened. I know that Steff and some others have been following this story - it truly is a modern-day miracle for the old bird. I look forward to the chicks fledging in 2 to 3 weeks time.

Jan, Too many calories for me - I prefer a tin of monkey.

Sorry to hear about Pauline - hope she'll soon be better.
I'm suffering from tennis overload just now. As well as the matches from SW19 I'm attempting (with friends) a quiz that includes a lot of tennis references. The one (the quiz, that is) that we're not supposed to ask about. So what with the Internet, the encyclopaedia of sport and anything else I can lay my hands on, it's all abit much. Thank goodness for some golf to watch on TV tomorrow!

Geb2, I don't think Steff has had time for anything other than watching the Lady of the Loch though she did mention, in passing, whilst studying her Osprey webcam that Australia now has a Taffy Pommie female Prime Minister (not her words!).
And that should shake up the male Ocker/Digger/Cobber community a bit!!
That is apart from the Oxford Street/Paddington/Surry Hills/Victoria Street areas of Sydney for whom she is probably already a role model!!
