Obviously I cant 'police' it, but I rather hoped those who have supported the charity would respect this request......and yes I am happy to advertise here. You wont be applying...thats absolutely fine with me, there are hundreds who are, and thats what counts.
For your quiz or any quiz to be legal, I believe that you have to publish your Charity Registration Number, plus full terms and conditions, for example, how the winner will be chosen and by whom, and, in this case, reassurance that there will not be any repetition of "eccentric" marking !
Could you please clarify 'eccentric marking' I assume you are unhappy with something? And dont see anyone else giving all those details on here!!! Think someones a bit upset maybe that they didnt win???
And how many people advertising their quiz on here do any of that
Just because you cant use this site to get answers there is no need to go to extremes with you comments
Lots of us like the quiz answers to be our own work
The ed did say a quiz setters opinion on answers should be adhered to
keyboardix, I am somewhat astonished by your remark almost none of the ones in Ed's sticky at the top of Q&P give such details. In what way would knowing that Mabel Arkinson from the Florists will be drawing the winner from a top hat be relevant?
If thats the case keyboardix you wont be doing my quiz either as I certainly dont give any of those details and I dont even have a charity number, nor do many small groups and it is perfectly legal to raise funds for a good cause without one so you are talking absolute rubbish. In fact none of the quizzes advertised on fundraising quizzes give ALL of the details you are requesting so maybe you better not enter any just to ensure you stick to these non existent laws you are trying to enforce on others.
So, seemingly keyboar dix, your belief might be wrong. I would stioll like to know what your comment 'eccentric marking' refers to. If the answers right you get a point, if the answers wrong you dont. Am I missing something or is that not the way most competitions/exams/etc work? Maybe you can enlighten me as I've used this same system for years.....
