Farkle or dix mille dice game
0 Answers
some guys in my local pub play a dice game, which they didn't know the name of. I've found the name above on a search this morning. What i can't work out is the origin. Most sites list the origin of Farkle to texas (from the farkleberry tree) but none make any reference to it originating in france, despite the fact that it is also widely known as 'dix mille'. I would have thought it would make more historical sense for the texans to have got it from the french. One or two sites list it as a medieaval (sp?) or folk game but don't quantify it's origin. Anyone any ideas ? thanks x
