Of course fan rhymes with Autobahn!! But why a football fan and not any other kind of fan like an electric fan, that will keep you cool more than a football fan will. Answer requested please.

A football fan is a supporter (of his team).
I suppose that if you pronounce "fan" as "fahn" then it would rhyme with Autobahn, or if you pronounce "Autobahn" as "Autobann" then that would rhyme with fan.

Thanks for your input, beejay1124. I don't like to brag (well, not much!), but I do speak German to conversational standard, so I can safely say that "Autobahn" does rhyme with: barn; tarn, and not with fan.
