I saw mention of a particular reference book on the site a few weeks ago - thought I had made a note, but cannot find that note (usual senior moment!). Something similar to "Enquire within upon anything". Can any ABers please let me have any information of books they refer to? Thanks in anticipation.

Might it be "A to Z of (almost) Everything." This is a compendium of general knowledge by Trevor Montague. It costs around £25 but the previous years edition can usually be bought for about £8 from cheap bookshops.

hi daffodil87 ! Another useful book for cruciverbalists is Chambers Crossword dictionary. It is a hefty tome & very comprehensive.I go mine from The Book People & they have it in stock at the moment.Hope it will be useful to you....
