Probably FORK. Morton's Fork was a saying from Tudor days. It was a "double edged sword" way of getting money from Henry's subjects. If they entertained him too lavishly Morton said they could afford to pay high tax, and if they were mean in so doing he said they could contribute the money they had saved!
