Good morning everyone - we have bright sunshine today after a miserable weekend, back to fires and woollies - maybe it's Winter's last hurrah !! [fat chance !!]

Well, Kate did throw a curly at us, but not where I was expecting it - these are the matches -

Onion Dome
City Desk
Mute Swan
Gate Keeper

No prizes for guessing that City Desk was the one which eluded us all - mind you, points were hard enough to come by without that one - we totalled about 36 overall.

But it's not all doom and gloom - GEN2 was the Star Turn, managing to predict the remaining three correctly and gaining himself 6 points and the lead [more on that later]
ELSPETH & ROSLYN251254 both collected 3 points for two correct - So Congratulations to all the points scorers this week - the Free Fall Club membership has fallen quite dramatically !!

And there's still two weeks to go, to make massive advances on the Leader Board, so we shall have to knuckle down when we reconvene next Saturday, same time, same place for the next round of fun and games [!!] Have a good week and I'll see you soon S

Thanks Seekerz, and well done to all scorers. Hope you find someone to cope with the Christmas bonanza - if that's the word! I don't think we have newspapers on Christmas Day so maybe KM will add a different day of the week to her usual bag of goodies?
Thanks Steff - At least Jim and got one each this week. Better than we managed on MM see you next week. Jools xx
Wow I am doing well! Morning J, all is well, won Spectator xword a few weeeks ago. Off to Vienna for a few days at the end of the month.
Thanks Steff ... and well done Gen2.
I'm still languishing well behind the leaders ... I know my place ;O)

Cheers! (S)
Zilch for me again...........

well at least we're both out of the dungeon, sarumite and, ladyalex, it would help your cause no end if you remembered to put your entry in instead of strav.. striv... gallivanting all over the countryside !! maybe we could line mamy up to remind you !!
Morning all, zero points for me this week. It's windy here in Co Durham, not very warm either and the forecast isn't good with all those minuses looming.
Hi Steph,

I don't want to seem picky, but I think I also got two right?
Steff,
Sorry, I see I decided to change one of them. Senior moment I'm afraid !!
Thanks Seekeerz I didn't expect that! BUT i don't think I'm likely to repeat it either so the field is open to the rest of you.
Thanks, Steff, and well done all scorers. Nothing for me on either game this week - blame freezing Oxfordshire and unfamiliar computer!
me neither, aquagility, and I can't blame either of those things!
Well done scorers and gen2 - I am not convinced though. I am now on the slippery slope - nice whilst it lasted though...................:o(

I've totally given up any hope of scoring anything with Strix in the driver's seat so was very relieved to pick up a point this week, had been batting zero in both games, not a happy feeling !!!
True steff - at least I have had my moment of fame - might put that in my epitaph ;o)
Question Author
come on now, ena - no defeatism !! not allowed !! how are you feeling ? I gather you had 'the head from hell' on the weekend ??
Not too bad ta steff - another letter from the hospital today on heart tests - the worrying thing is I can understand most of the jargon without having to google it!!
Question Author
that's the worst of those things - translating it into layman's terms. do they make it more complicated now, because they know we can google it ?? seems that way to me, but why bother. good luck with it all, anyway
