MM and KM Links October 2010 [Week 4]

I have had yet another week to catch up with the manic mental meanderings of Strix and it’s like pushing treacle up hill! This man is truly “YOU-NEEK”! Fortunately, he prepares all his postings completely independently of the organiser (ie my good self ~ crofter) so I renounce all responsibility for content and simply try to hold on to his coat-tails (or should I say “tail feathers”). In truth, I realise that he is kept extremely busy and I appreciate his participation this month as MM Links Setter.

Who is out there in AB Land with the brain that works in parallel with that of Strix? Is there only “Slippery Slaney” to sort him out? There are still two weeks left for you to try to corner that wayward “Will-o-the-Wisp”. I fully expect service to begin as usual and games in the accepted format with the channel of communication opening on AB tomorrow at 08.45am and the four words to be linked should be posted at 9.00am, when MM Links kicks off in earnest. Remember ~ early MM hits gain bonus points!

As usual, I ask that you should also look out for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (which is difficult to predict precisely). Consequently, the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register will affect your score. The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from Oz ( Roo-land) and is my good friend, “seekeerz”. She is truly the “Wizard-ess of Oz”.

I could understand our Grey Owl for week1, but now I fear he has slipped into some dark recess where the boundaries between Strixdom and reality are blurred.

Pauline, if you really want to know you will have to read up the preambles to the MM Links whilst you were being a Turkish Delight - i.e. pink, lightly scented and quite squidgy!

As an almost permanent resident of the "Free Fall Club" ... I shall simply watch the shenanigans from the comfort of the bar, sup a few single malts, and then casually submit four incorrect answers in line with normal practice .... although with strix at the helm, I'm concerned that my answers may actually turn out to be correct!!!
