HI folks, just wondering if anyone knows where this place is .. completely stuck ...
"Childhood home of a super furry animal and a lyrically influential son, this town is known for medieval architecture and the beauty of nearby coast and mountains.. But the dark and brutal past of one of its buildings has earned it a spooky reputation, with reports of doors slamming and ghostly voices and footsteps. Name the town.
The four pictures are (a) a statue of a horse with an armoured knight on it, a hangmans noose on its suport, a house with lots of upstairs windows, and a white longhaired mad looking man sitting on some steps.

Can anyone offer some ideas, please? Many thanks, Chox

Many thanks, bibblebub, I did go down the lines of the group SFA, but then came to a halt ... appreciate your help. Chox.
Childhood home for Gruff Rhys was BETHESDA, not his birthplace
It's Ruthin, Denbigshire.
