All looks quiet out there, or have I missed the thread again? Have a full grid with thematics, but no quotation or author yet, although one part of the grid looks promising. Good clueing this week with some obscure references in BRB used.

Think I now have the quote and author, though somewhat confused by one or two of the 'helpful' comments about it. K the final letter of my quote is checked in the grid, does this equate? I actually knew this quote but had to resort to the internet to find it, and agree with its sentiments.

Whoops - sorry there should be a dot after the 'k', short for Kayakamina. Was referring to his post about the quote and unchecked letters. He probably didn't mean they were ALL unchecked, just a run of them together.

I think the answer is then that it does not equate, ie the final letter is unchecked

Thought I'd pop in to say hello, and a welcome to all new N & Cers - I know I haven't been around very much lately (it's 'that' season, with a series of rehearsals and concerts). Found this week's a struggle - maybe because I am not a devotee of the said delicacies! Hope you are all coping with the snow - we have only a modicum in Cheshire, although last night's concert was cancelled.

Thank you JMR but I don't have the quotation, I think that is the major problem.
Ulysses - I have tracked down a sneaky littleFar Eastern variety at the very beginning of the said row but it interfers greatly with my 27d. Am totally dispirited.
