'family' competitions

if i win a competition that gives the winner a 'family holiday' or 'family ticket' (usually 2 adults and 2 children), will it be void as only 2 adults want to go? (no, i don't want to borrow someones kids!)

I can't see them being able to discriminate against us sprogless folk like that, but check the small print or the Ts&Cs, which will be available somewhere.
I've been on afew TV quiz shows and quite often you can have the prize or a 'cash'  equivalent. In the case of a magazine comp or something, I would have thought they would prefer just a couple to win, as it will be cheaper for them.
I won a 'family holday' for four to Majorca and was actually allowed to go with 3 other adults!

I won a family holiday to Los Angeles from Chat magazine last year.  (2 adults & 2 children under 12.)  I told them there was only myself & husband. They said that was fine and they even gave us tickets to Universal Studios as well which wasn't part of the prize.

I still enter comps for family holidays in the hope of winning again.
