The KM Links Game - December results
16 Answers
Good morning everyone - for the final round-up of the year !! Needless to say, there wasn't much in the way of scores to check and I'm rather glad we didn't all decide to put in entries - I'd still be checking at the end of the week !!
The matches were the surnames of the four composers -
BERLIN
TORME
BERNARD
MARTIN
and for the two players - keyboardix and HandBagLady who entered their full names I've awarded 2 points to each, under the heading of 'too much information' and to tearinghair
I have also awarded two points as at least two of her clues would have resulted in correct matches - I cannot comment on 'Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells' I don't know them well enough !!
Thank you all for your good wishes and I'm so glad you do enjoy the rather eccentric way in which the game is conducted - but then I guess if you didn't, you wouldn't play !!
Having heard the latest from the UK on the weather front I wish you all a very safe holiday season, I can't imagine having to cope with all that while travelling - deecee and cliffy's tales were bad enough !!
So stay safe and warm and we'll meet back here on New Years Day for the start of another month of mayhem .... till then, best wishes, Steff

Cheers steff - I missed this one! I saw your original post with the clues but never spotted the actual competition - not that I think I would have got it right, anyway!
Are you familiar with "Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells" in Australia? It's a long-standing joke phrase here, it started in the 1950s when someone wrote a complaining letter to a newspaper, and that's how they signed themselves!

Morning seekeerz,
Thank you for the sterling work you've done over the past year in keeping us in order. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Have a wonderful hogmanay and and we'll reconvene in 2011. Hopefully we'll be firing on all cylinders after our tipples on New Years Eve. I wish for KMer's a healthy, peaceful and happy new year.

Thanks for all your hard work and cheerfulness during the year, Steff, and congratulations to Crofter. He said it was appropriate that CHRISTiana was the CHRISTMas MM links champion, but I think it more than appropriate that he should get the final KM links accolade of the year when he is never able to enter the other competition. Incidentally I was just about bottom in this contest - you never know do you and that's all part of the fun. Have a happy holiday everyone
Hi Christiana! Many congratulations on winning the MM links ..... but as for being bottom here ..... Strix & I have scored nul points, as is our wont. I only hope we don't clog up Steff's score sheet too much: we certainly don't overwork the abacus. Many thanks for putting up with me, Steff. All best wishes for a Happy Christmas, and I'm looking forward to reconvening in the New Year.
I am delighted to end 2010 on such a high. I must confess that I had NO IDEA what was required last week, so my lead looked safe for one more round!
That reminds me of a joke found in Christmas cracker.
"What would you call Rundolf after he went blind?"
The answer is "capital"!?
"A Merry Christmas" to one and all
