The answer to 48a is very appropriate for you. Have you been affected by the terrible events in Queensland, or are you further west?
Your team did well yesterday in the Twenty/20, although the women's team couldn't beat the World Champion English team.

Luckily not - we're south and west and it's probable not any of the floodwater will come down the Murray - it's been unbelievable to watch ... all the people who have built along the Brisbane River now finding themselves under water !!
The worst part for me was watching the horses swimming for their lives and then resting their heads on a house's guttering - I know one was saved, but hate to think of the others
Haven't caught up with last night's cricket - things have become somewhat unhinged around here as Mr Seek tangled with a 'feral' cat Tuesday morning and is now in hospital having had micro-surgery on his hand..not a happy bunny I might add !!

Sorry to hear about Mr S, I hope that all goes well for him.
The TV pictures were amazing...although not only horses but cattle were also trying to swim for their lives in the same shot. I presume that the Government/State will have to fund a lot of the rebuilding, otherwise some insurers may go belly up! I read in Friday's Telegraph that the Queen had made a private donation to the Disaster Fund, although the amount was being kept secret. At least the residents had some warning, unlike the flooding disaster in Brazil, where many more lives were lost.

Have been watching the Queensland situation in horrified fascination as I have relatives who live in Brisbane close by the river but their property seems oK though his business premises took a pasting. Very glad to hear that you are OK though sorry that Mr Seek has had a run-in with a cat. Hope that he is feeling more chipper now. (By the way you won the second T20!!)
Sorry to hear about Mr Seek Steff - Hope he mends quickly.
I too have a cousin who lives in Brisbane but she and her family are all ok. Their children also have a business in the affected area but the water stopped at the bottom step so they were very lucky. It's dreadful to see the devistation and my heart goes out to the people who have been affected.
