Done all but two: "British solider returned to observe tropical sea fish" I have x I x E x E and "Destruction done by a man wearing apron, say." I have x A x O x A x E x I keep thinking that might be 'sabotage'; but can't figure out why it would be.

How's this after a bottle of gin? SABOTAGE. A bo, surrounded by stage (apron). perhaps OP is wrong with no of letters.

x A x O x A x E x is 9 letters - SABOTAGE has only 8...

'bigeye' -- would not have got that. Well, maybe eventually ... Sorry, only 8 letters required in the other one, and 'sabotage' explanation makes sense. Thanks, guys
