Does anyone check first?

Is it only me but this week especially the same answers are being given over and over again - Mail on Sunday for instance I have already counted 18 answers to a single clue - are people too lazy to check the answers given before they waste the time of anyone trying to help them? It is so simple - Check the answers already given before you post your question!

Chill out a little. I'm always willing to give an answer when I can, whether or not it has been answered before. If people feel like their time is being wasted then they don't have to help !!!

Doesn't always work though norman, I don't always see the full range of recent answers when I search. I don't mind offering a repeat answer to a new poster, if I can help.

norman, I understand your frustration, and I look on the boards before posting a question, but you could be trawling through four or five pages, which is enough to try anyone's patience! It was much easier when the board alerted you to the fact that 'someone has replied to your question' - but they don't do that any more, goodness knows why.

I always google first (love learning) and then I scroll down, have noticed
some people post the same questions on Q & P AND Crosswords, taking
up more space.

If I am ever stuck(Brag, brag, not very often lol) I usually type the name of the newspaper in the red box on the top and get a list of questions asked and answered, simplees

I find that if you type in just one key word from the clue (eg PROTON today for the nucleon question or ENGINEERING for the BIONICS question) into the AB search box these threads appear at the top of the list and the answer can be found usually just bu=y clicking on one of them
