wrong, it's 3
i brick is 1ib 8 ozs plus the half of another brick which is 12 ozs, unless they are hand made bricks which vary in weight. so, 1lb 8 ozes plus 12 ozs is 2lbs 4ozs, why is that not right?
I agree with bibblebub, If one brick weighs 1lb and half a brick then as it has two halves, each half must weigh 1lb.
I might be needing sleep here but I don't understand the question...can you split it down easier?

"A brick weighs a pound and a half a brick...."??
Bibblebub explains it.
25 ozs is 1lb 9 ozs,
2 bricks would weigh 3lb 1= 1.5, a brick and a half=2lb 4ozs I was right the first time (I think)
1 brick = 1 pound + half a brick
Therefore 1 brick = 2 pounds
how can a brick that weighs 1lb 8ozs whole wiegh a 1lb each half? half would be 12 ozs
Dotty - not a pound and a half... but a pound and "half a brick"
1 brick = 24 ozs
½ brick = 12 0zs
36 ozs = 2lbs 4ozs
