I've been struggling for over a week with this clue. It's an anagram of a place in the British Isles, but with the vowels omitted. The number in brackets indicates the total number of letters in the word. (therefore only two vowels in the word) Can anyone help please?

could the H be duplicated? - in which case you need 3 vowels and Aldershot would fit

If you remove one of the 'H' and use up to 3 vowels the choice is

Aldershot
Aldsworth
Lodsworth
Lyndhurst

With the letters you give there does not appear to be a solution.

Thanks for your efforts. I'm going to go with "Aldershot" as the other three suggestions would all require the additon of at least one other consonant, not just an extra vowel. There is at least one other mistake on this particular quiz sheet!
