For those who haven't got their specs on:

THE DDISAPPEARING BICYCLIST

Turn the disc so the arrow points to A - and count 13 boys.
Then move the arrow to B - and there are only 12 boys in view.

Which boy vanished? Where does he go?
Does the boy 'A' obstruct our view of boy 'B' when the arrows moved?
Am I missing something? I count 13 both times!
8 o'clock merges with 7 o'clock
Ah, I see it on the working version.
It might help if you mention whether your comments are about Ed's post or mine (which you have to look at for a while to see the effect).

I have stared at JJs link, but can't explain where the 13th boy goes.

Please help me.
I can see what's going on with the legs, but can't figure out where the head is going.
