Where was I? Sunday Times, CAPTCHA string
Please can someone help.
Just trying to enter this comp. After filling in all relevant details, I am asked to enter two words of a captcha string. One word is modern English and the other what I assume is Old English written text which is very difficult to read. On submitting - I am told to try again and two new words are given. I've tried over 50 times and am getting really frustrated - I just want to enter a competition, why am I asked to do all this.
What, if anything, am I doing wrong or not understanding?

They're not always real words, in answer to the 'Old English' bit of your query.

Hi Stocksman.
Many thanks for letting me know that they were not neccessarily proper words. The CAPTCHA said 'enter the two words' - very misleading! That was where I was going wrong, I was trying to see words. I entered what I saw and all worked. All sorted and I now understand what it is all about.
Very grateful to you.
