Only In The Usa
I can’t imagine a UK court considering a case for ‘damages/wrongful death’ from a hotel, where the guest willingly took a prostitute back to their room and overdosed on fentanyl.

The claim is that the hotel security knew of the activities of the *** Cheylee Kessee and the pimp Kashon Glass and under US law (duty of care) should have warned the prospective victim. Both the *** and the pimp are now in jail for manslaughter from this case incidentally.
The hotel ain't a nursemaid. While a warning, had anyone noticed, might have been a welcome gesture, it can't be relied on; and the guy involved was an adult, and since he wasn't accompanied by his nurse in a white coat, should be assumed to be capable of making their own decisions. It's still a US nonsense.
