A Polite request

As this site is called Answerbank, I come here to occasionally post a question, but mainly to see if I can answer any too. I go all over the site, but I come here because I like to tax my brain, and see if I can answer any quiz clues or riddles.

I've noticed of late a lot of postings here for riddles where the answer is already known, where it is set as a game by the poster. Trouble is, that isn't always apparent, and more than once over the last few weeks I have taken the trouble to answer only to find afterwards that I needn't have botherered.

Now for those who want to play games, fair enough, but I don't, so could those who do at least make it clear from the outset. That way, I can then ignore the post, or at least not waste my time thinking I am actually HELPING someone. Ta

I forgot to add, I know from those other postings I mentioned that I am not alone in being duped, so the request isn't JUST for me, ok.
