NM, one of the stokers who survived the Titanic sinking was also a stoker who survived the sinking of the Lusitania in 1915. But I can't see his being on board another ship "led directly" to its sinking.

After Titanic's demise the laws on lifeboats were more stringent and I believe one small ship sailed with too many which lead to it sinking.

In the 1980's a submersable was "sunk" in order to find and photograph the Titanic: however, you couldn't really call that small craft a "ship" nor was it "soon after".
